A deep clean with a bone level check and stain removal plus oral hygiene instruction.
Why is it important to have a bone level check?
It is important to know where the bone levels are around each tooth. More bone means the tooth will be more stable with long term functionality. Numbers from 1-3mm are considered a normal depth, whereas measurements greater than 3mm are considered problematic.
Bone level checks can help identify problems before they worsen as a treatment plan can be supplied to control the problem to avoid further bone and tissue loss.
